John Spanton, the Technical Education Director for Trevor Sorbie presents a great colouring technique using well placed wefts perfect for editorial work.
John reaches into pointillism and using the feel of the colour and its density creates an abstract shape working very visually with the hair. Whilst planning the design it’s important to remember that although with the weft you’re working with a flat surface, the head is curved and so your pattern will have a slight curve to it.
In the video John will run you through the appropriate preparation, treatment and colouring of the weft which might save you a few pounds.
The technique opens up various possibilities to play with density of pigment, colour and placement of the dots. Make sure to try it yourself and share the results with us using @hairtribe.tv and #hairtribe on Instagram.Rejoignez
